When you are not out enjoying the Northumberland countryside, or roaming the Roman sites, enjoy all that the property has to offer in comfortable and convenient amenities.

A well-equipped kitchen is a must for a self-catering holiday and the property has everything you will need to create wonderful meals whilst watching the friendly chickens wandering around.

Personal and thoughtful touches are everywhere. Enjoy a sweet treat upon your arrival along with a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. There will be tea, coffee, hot chocolate and Nespresso pods on hand.

Supermarket deliveries

Most major supermarkets offer home delivery to Carraw Farm. If you would like a supermarket delivery for the day that you arrive we ask that you organise the delivery time for when you have arrived at the property. When choosing a delivery address please use NE46 4DB. Please include the property name in the comments section of your order.

Kitchen and utility room

Our kitchen is equipped with two fan assisted ovens, a five ring induction hob, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, several small appliances including an electric can opener, a toaster, a wall mounted hot water boiler, upright fridge, dishwasher, dishes, bakeware and cookware and serving ware. There is plenty of glassware for your favourite gin & tonic, glass of wine or beer or glass of bubbly if you are celebrating something special - or nothing at all! You will also find a clothes iron and ironing board under the stairs. A 10Kg washer, 9Kg condenser tumble dryer and upright freezer can be found in the utility room along with a handy drying rack. A small supply of dishwasher tablets and washing powder/ liquid will be provided.

Beds & bedrooms

All rooms are light, bright and with great views. High quality hypoallergenic bedding and luxury bed linen is provided in all rooms. The three upstairs bedrooms have king sized beds. The two downstairs rooms have a choice of super king double or two single beds. Each bedroom has a hairdryer and an electric fan for warmer summer nights. For the colder evenings there are extra blankets and a hot water bottle. There is plenty of hanging storage and clothes hangers. Each bedroom has its own. Freeview flat screen television.

Bathrooms

Each bedroom has ensuite shower facilities with a fixed rain head and a height adjustable shower head and some with a bath. Each bathroom has a hand washing basin, heated towel rail, lighted mirror and WC. One downstairs ensuite is fully accessible and the other downstairs ensuite is suitable for people with limited / reduced mobility. There is an additional WC on the ground floor for your convenience. Luxury towels, bathrobes and toiletries are provided.

Car parking

There is a dedicated, private off road parking near to the property for three cars. Extra cars can park up in the car park near the farmhouse. An Electric Vehicle Type 1 Charging Point is available for all IEC62192 Mode 3 enabled vehicles (subject to charging connector type compatibility).

Dining room

Our open plan dining area is equipped with a large extendable dining table and dining chairs. There is plenty of glasses, crockery and cutlery, as well as a beer / wine cooler for enjoying a cool glass of wine or beer after a day out!

Lounge area

Our open plan lounge area has a 4 seater and two 3 seater leather sofas, arranged to enable you to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views . For those chilly evenings in the colder months, enjoy the wood burner and a complimentary basket of logs. In the landing upstairs there are board games as well as a small selection of books, maps and local leaflets/ information.

Families

For your security and safety, the garden is private. For families, a travel cot, a high chair, fireguard and stairgate can be provided for better peace of mind.

Outdoors

Enjoy the spectacular panoramic views from the patio area with outdoor seating. It is a perfect spot for that first morning tea or coffee or alfresco dining.

Technology

The property is equipped with high speed WiFi Internet and a Samsung Smart TV with multiple streaming services in the Lounge.

Nearby activities

There is a wealth of outdoor activities in Northumberland National Park, including some of the best walking, right on your doorstep. The line of the Hadrian’s Wall National Trail is just on the opposite side of the road to the property. There is Roman history all around, just waiting to be experienced. Or just sit back, relax and take in the scenery. In the bookcase on the upstairs landing there are maps you can borrow as well as local information leaflets and booklets.

How far to...?

Situated in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country, we are ideally situated for walking the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail, with direct access from the farm, cycling Hadrian's Cycleway or simply touring and experiencing the delights of Northumberland. We are close to all the major heritage attractions along Hadrian's Wall including the Roman Forts at Chesters, Housesteads and Vindolanda. Kielder Forest is a short 20 mile drive where you can enjoy mountain biking or the dark skies at Kielder Observatory (booking required). If lucky enough you may spot a red squirrel. The spectacular Northumberland Coast is about 45 minutes away.
